Retreats

I find transformational retreats one of the best ways to experience shifts and breakthroughs beyond what one would think possible.

To me, the magic of retreats lay in five pillars:

  • Their careful design and attunement to the field a particular group creates.

  • The space held by facilitators that have walked and/or are walking the path.

  • The fact that you are stripped from your day to day life, to do lists and numerous responsabilities. And the basic day to day chores are taken care of :)

  • The company of peers sharing the dynamics and exercises you are experiencing.

  • A carefully chosen venue and location that is aligned with the essence and vision of the retreat.

These four elements combined, create the perfect environment for the self-realisations of insights and human transformation. By human transformation meaning, the realisation and further integration in our day to day lives of new awarenesses regarding who we are and what is possible as human beings.

The space that you will feel within when you are in a retreat, is what allows for something new to land in you. Or for something long forgotten to be remembered.

The images from the first row, and the second raw on the left, are from Masseria Specula, a wonderful retreat venue. The image in the second raw, on the right, is from Safe & Sound, a 4 hour workshop to explore intimacy with self and others through touch and sound, held in Bali.

In a retreat you might:

  • Come in touch with your soul's essence.

  • Realise why your romantic life is not working.

  • Find the tools to operate at the next level of your life.

  • Understand the reason why you are stuck in your life.

  • Welcome parts of yourself buried long ago.

  • Find deeper rest within yourself.

  • Experience some of the mysteries of life.

  • Come to know and belief in God and thy grace.

Whatever your intention is, my experience is that these spaces hold a magic hard to express with words and that can only be experienced.

After a retreat, a key step comes which is: Integration. Integration is the process of harmonising and integrating the new insights you have gained in the retreat into your day to day life, with the ultimate purpose of having a better quality of life after the retreat than you had before it. That is when I confidently say that the retreat was a very good retreat for me.

Integration is a key step often overseen and one I love to take care of and guide people through after the retreat. You can rest assured that this aspect will be taken care of in any of my retreats.
